A booked meeting with one stakeholder feels like progress. In an enterprise deal with four or five people in the buying committee, it's often the beginning of a slow death. The champion moves teams, budget gets reprioritized, and the deal quietly disappears from the forecast three months later.
Multithreading, which means reaching multiple stakeholders across a target account in parallel rather than sequentially, adds friction up front but compounds in your favor later. When procurement asks 'who else has seen this,' you want an answer.
In practice this means mapping the buying committee before the first email goes out, not after the first call. It means running distinct messaging for economic buyers, technical evaluators and end users, timed to land in the same one-to-two week window rather than trickling out over a quarter.
It's more work than a single sequence. It's also the difference between pipeline that closes and pipeline that evaporates.
